A Peaceful Stay

I painted this piece in Scotland where I had just attended my first post-COVID wedding with my partner, my best friend and her husband. The Scottish countryside was absolutely stunning and we were all craving an escape from London. My dog Tito was with me and this was his last trip before he passed. My best friend ended up getting COVID. Even though there was a lot going on, taking a few days to travel to the middle of nowhere and reconnect with nature was incredible. To me, this painting evokes feelings of cosiness, friendship and serenity.
