Buried Wonders
15.2cm X 23cm
Acrylic, wax crayon, and collage on paper.
If you’ve ever read the waitbutwhy post by Tim Urban about picking careers, this represents exploring my denial prison. I had spent so many years not understanding or completely avoiding a feeling that something was missing. Not something obvious, like a love connection or a family, but something specific to me which I couldn’t put my finger on or, more likely, didn’t want to name. Eventually, I read Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way off a recommendation from my career coach and realised how artistically blocked I felt. This piece is me reconnecting with my inner artist and beginning to create again. It expresses whimsical feelings of playfulness and curiosity.
Frames are not included in purchase and are mocked up for illustration purposes only.
