Shepherd's Warning
My Horizons series is a group of paintings done intuitively with only a horizon in mind and no plan. The resulting works have reminded me of peaceful natural landscapes that bring a sense of both contentment and joy.
After doing a bit of research about the classic adage, it turns out the original text was "shepherd" (from the Bible) vs. I grew up knowing it as "sailor's". The piece came at a time when I had a series of revelations about my painting styles and where I was feeling extremely happy with the process. It's a revelatory piece that predicts cozy weather ahead which is something I actually love.
This piece is painted on a red A3 art paper.
Acrylic and wax crayon on paper.
Approx A3 (30cm X 42cm) (11.8in X 16.5 in)
